As director of Sun Dance Performance Company, Michele choreographs for, teaches and co-produces performing arts events throughout the DMV.

After teaching and directing studio dance programs for many years Michele founded Sun Dance in 2010 as a platform not only for dancers but for all performing and visual artists to share their gifts with the public. Michele believed there was a dual need for community exposure to the arts and artists’ involvement within their communities. At the same time she wanted to ingratiate her dancers with a variety of performance opportunities, community interaction and interplay with other artists.

Sun Dance Performance Company has performed for a number of charitable organizations at a variety of events and venues including Global Lyme Alliance, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. Michele is an alumna of Columbia College Chicago and is thankful to have trained with some of the very best including Lane Alexander, Kirby Reed, Laura Wade and John Schmitz.

Michele partners with Rising Phoenix Performers to add dance performances to RPP shows.
